I have been taking singing lessons from Nicholas for the last three years and have enjoyed every single moment of it. He tailors his lessons to what one needs and how one wants to grow as a singer which is amazing!
He also makes the lessons fun by letting you have the option of choosing the songs you would like to sing 🙂

I have taken singing lessons for the past 18 years . It has given me various teaching methods and I did progress . However since about 4 years I am taught by Nicholas and finally during this time I truly transformed my voice and brought it to the next level and learned the most.Nicholas feels the music and he gets his students . He truly gets what you need and adjust his teaching style to advance you in your career. Through selecting music to challenge me, words of encouragement or correcting my posture. I learned to understand my voice, its range and it has given me so much confidence as a performer. I am so grateful I found him as my voice mentor and maestro.

My daughter first went to Nicholas for a lesson at 15 years old. She was auditioning for music and musical theatre schools. From the moment she started, he helped elevate her voice to a new level and she greatly appreciated his wonderful, friendly approach. He even helped her film and record her video submission, which got her the place at the Purcell School for Young Musicians to study commercial and classical voice. Now 18, she has recently been awarded a place at Guildford School of Acting for Musical Theatre. Nicholas is intuitive and works his students hard to achieve results quickly. I was introduced to Nicholas through a close mutual friend during the pandemic lockdowns and I had some truly amazing lessons with Nicholas on line. When restrictions were lifted I visited Nicholas in Gibraltar and had singing lessons overlooking Catalan Bay which is an experience I will never forget and this experience informs my practice and performance to this day. Nicholas is an extraordinary teacher in a very good way and I have learnt so much from him and I was privileged to attend his recent concert in London where he reeled off an amazing array of songs in different languages all expertly performed. Finding a voice teacher of Nicholas’ calibre in North London was an absolute jackpot. I came to him to work on training in a classical style and made enormous progress in only a couple months. I have had several singing lesson from Nicholas Martin and even though I’ve sung for many many years he has discovered a whole new sound to my voice. I’ve learnt a great deal about placement of the sound and the correct use of consonants and vowels. He has a warm easy welcome that makes you feel immediately at ease and relaxed.

Nicholas is a wonderful teacher, started as areal beginner about two years ago. I’m amazed by how high he made me make my voice go and that was just after the first lesson! Have always wanted to sing classical and now I can. Really enjoy the whole lesson and the concerts that we do. My last solo performance was Faure’s Pie jesu , a real achievement not only with the singing but also with having the confidence to get up in front of everybody and sing. Since I started having private singing lessons in London with Nicholas 18 months ago, My progress has been pretty impressive. In addition to successful teaching technic and performance, Nicholas knows exactly which songs will fit you. He prepared me for a few singing competitions and I went through to final rounds. My husband bought me my first singing lesson in London with Nicholas and after that I was hooked. I had never wanted to sing professionally or perform but just loved music and wanted something to do for myself. Nicholas was excellent in tailoring his style to what i wanted and I found the lessons a great stress relief in my otherwise busy life.
